Diodes

Middle school girls make and test diodes.

Girls at Lincoln Junior High, pictured above and below, make diodes with guidance from a parent and, lower right, with guidance from Sue Caley.  The girls, are melting aluminum and gold on a silicon chip with a torch.

Middle school girls, and their parents, learn the basics of diodes before making and testing their own.
